At The Climb – Give It Up Mahaska, we are dedicated to helping those in need in our community by providing clothing, food, and holiday support. Your generosity makes all the difference, and we are excited to share the various ways you can contribute to those in need this season. Below are the events and donation needs for the upcoming months.
Christmas Toy Drive
November 1st – Mid December
We are collecting new, unwrapped toys for children in our community who may otherwise not receive gifts this holiday season. Your donation helps make Christmas morning brighter for local families in need.
Christmas Gift Wrapping Fundraiser
November 30th
If you’ve scored some great gifts during Black Friday sales, bring them to us! We’ll wrap your gifts for a free-will donation, with all proceeds going directly to support our mission of helping local families in need.
Vendor Fair Donations Needed
December 14th
We’re seeking donations of homemade crafts, baked goods, and Christmas candies for our annual Vendor Fair. Your donations will be sold at the fair to support our ongoing programs.
Coats and Winter Wear Donations Requested
As the weather gets colder, we are collecting gently used coats, hats, gloves, scarves, boots, and other winter wear for individuals and families in need. Please help us keep our community warm this winter!

Food Donations Always Needed
We accept all food donations, but we are particularly in need of refrigerated and frozen items. Your contributions help ensure that no one in our community goes hungry, especially during the colder months.
Outdoor Gear & Winter Essentials
We are also seeking the following items to help those facing challenging living conditions this winter:
- Pillows, sleeping bags, and tents
- Hot hands warming packs
- Heavy winter socks
These items are critical for individuals in need of emergency shelter or warmth during the winter.
Father/Daughter Dance – Young Girl Formal Wear
We are collecting gently used formal dresses, shoes, and accessories for the Father/Daughter Community Dance in February. Help make this event special for young girls in our area who might not otherwise have access to formal wear.
Laundry Supplies Needed
We are always in need of laundry soap (preferably pods) and fabric softener. These items are essential for helping us to ensure all our donated clothes are clean and ready for those in the community to take home.
